We realize mistakes happen. We make them all the time. But, we didn't make this one.
In presidential politics, perhaps the most classic error was when a prominent Chicago newspaper in 1948 announced that “Dewey defeats Truman.” You’ve seen the photo of Truman holding the newspaper.
What we didn’t realize was the Mike Romey, president of Citizens National Bank, is the 2012 Republican candidate for president. Read on:
In this morning’s The Lima News, the newspaper omitted the “n” in Romney. Thus, Romney became “Romey.”

Living in a time of rapidly increasing change can be intimidating, Tobias Buckell admits.
Moore's Law holds--still accurately, Buckell says--that the speed of computing chips doubles every 18 months, while storage capacity for hard drives doubles every 12 months, according to Kryder's Law.
An iPhone, he notes, has more computing power than NASA did when it sent men to the moon, and an Xbox has the same power as a military-level supercomputer did when he was a college student at Bluffton in the late 1990s.
The Bluffton Public Library Board of Trustees announces the receipt of a $1.6 million endowment gift from the Florence R. Duffield estate.
At the Aug. 28 regular board meeting the trustees acted to establish a permanent endowment fund and accepted the bequest.
An endowment gift is one in which the original principal must be preserved, but from which earnings can be made available for library purposes.
Miss Duffield died on Sept. 29, 2011, at the age of 98. She retired in 1982 from a career spanning 47 years of teaching business at Bluffton High School.
