Two informative programs kick off the 2012-13 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce monthly breakfast series. The breakfasts are free and take place on the third floor of the Bluffton town hall. Breakfast is served at 7 a.m. and the program starts at 7:30 a.m.
Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs is the September breakfast sponsor. Richland Manor will provide the breakfast.

Bluffton Red Stars beat the Findlay Lady Fire 7-1in a girls soccer match.

First United Methodist Church, Bluffton, will host a program called 5th Quarter following home Bluffton High School football games this fall.
The programs are an open invitation to the public following each home varisty game for food and highlights of the game. The 5th Quarter takes place in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church, Church Street.
The 5th Quarter will be held on the following home games:
Aug. 31 - Carey
Sept. 7 - Delphos Jefferson
Sept. 21 - Ada
Oct. 19 - Paulding
Oct. 26 - Columbus Grove

Area Master Gardener Kay Studer will give a free talk on fall bulb planting in September.
Her talk is part of the Gardener's of the Bluffton Pandora Area meeting held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the lower level of the Bluffton Public Library.
The meeting is free and open to the public.

George L. Brenneman

George L. Brenneman, 81, of Rawson, died at 3:12 p.m. Aug. 28, 2012 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. He was born June 25, 1931, in Shreve to Clifford and Grace Stair Brenneman.
On July 29, 1951, he married Christina "Jylene" Boston and she preceded him in death on June 27, 2006.
Mr. Brenneman retired from Mid-West Laser, Findlay, and also owned Brenneman Enterprises/Husqvarna Dealership in Rawson. He was a past mayor of Rawson and was a member of the Rawson Fire Department for 40 years, where he had been assistant chief.
