Raymond Harner has been a serious cyclist since age 13, and has always wanted to ride a bike race in Italy. On April 28 he will realize that dream.
Fizik, an Italian manufacturer of racing shoes and saddles, hosts its annual Granfondo race through the beautiful Italian Alps. Harner, who owner of CG Pro Bikes in Columbus Grove, an Icon advertiser, was a lucky recipient of this opportunity in addition to a handful of Fizik’s Italian bicycle shoe dealers. He will spend several days in Italy.
Preparations are underway by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce for the second edition of the popular “Explore Bluffton Visitors’ Guide.”
The guide, which will be available later this summer, is the first update of the original guide created in 2011 by the chamber.
“The response of the first Explore Bluffton Visitors’ Guide was overwhelming,” said Fred Steiner, chamber CEO. “The initial booklet was immediately a hit with businesses and community organizations. It continues to be in demand, but it needs to be brought up to date.”
The Cincinnati-Dayton Guild of the Network of Biblical Storytellers will present a program of stories in the biblical tradition at First Mennonite Church at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 7.
The program titled "Laughing Out Loud: Celebrating the Resurrection," will be presented. Ten storytellers will participate. One of the presenters is Tom Boomershine, founder of the Network of Biblical Storytellers.
