The final Artist Series performance of the season will be of “The Other Mozart,” a one-act play that tells the story of Nannerl Mozart, the sister of Wolfgang Amadeus. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 6 in Bluffton University’s Yoder Recital Hall.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University baseball team showed no signs of rust after a 10-day hiatus, topping Albion College 7-3 on Tuesday, March 21. The Beavers improved to 7-3 on the season, while Albion slipped to 7-4.
Dr. Robert E. James, Jr., Bluffton chiropractor, will relocate his office to 546 N. Main St., on Friday, March 31.
The new office is across from China Wok Restaurant.
Dr. James, who has offered a full-time practice in Bluffton since 1975, has seen patients at his office on the corner of Main and College at 204 S. Main St. during most of this time in Bluffton.
The practice will keep the same hours:
• Mondays to Fridays (Closed Thursdays) - 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.
• Saturdays - 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Mennonite pastor Paula Snyder Belousek will discuss a past bishop’s response to the Civil War in a speech titled, “John’s Dilemma: A Mennonite Bishop Wrestles with Suffering in a Time of War,” during Bluffton University’s Spiritual Life Week Forum on Tuesday, April 4. The lecture begins at 11 a.m. in Bluffton’s Yoder Recital Hall. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Dr. Ann Hostetler, professor of English, Goshen College, Goshen, Ind., will present her speech titled, “Conflict and Creativity: Shunning and its Legacy in Amish and Mennonite Communities,” on Tuesday, April 4 at 11 a.m. in Stutzman Lecture Hall. This event is free and open to the public.
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) and Jerry Lewis’ McDonald’s host their annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.
The Easter egg hunt takes place come rain or shine. There is no rain date. Children ages 8 and under are invited to come, hunt for hidden eggs, register for prizes, gift baskets and have their parents take their pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Doughnuts are donated by Community Markets and hot beverages will be provided by MHCO.
