Pandora council agrees to purchase 2011 Ford pick-up
The Village of Pandora will buy a 2011 Ford F-250 truck through the Ohio State Purchasing Program. The purchase price, with several options added, will total $23,863.
That action took place at the March 22 council session. Following are the complete minutes of the meeting.
The Pandora Village Council met in Regular Session on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 7:00 PM at the Municipal Building with Mayor, John Schlumbohm, presiding.
Members Present: Painter, Vance, Hall, Stall, Blank
Members Absent: Fricke
The meeting was opened with Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion was made by Mr. Blank, seconded by Mr. Painter to approve the March 8, 2011 Minutes. Voting: All Yea.

Motion was made by Mrs. Stall, seconded by Mr. Hall to approve the bills as presented. Voting: All Yea.
The Village Administrator reported on the following:
1) The village building on Basinger Road is in need of ventilation and insulation in the attic. It was the consensus of Council for three roof vents be installed soon and insulation be installed prior to winter.
2) Presented a proposal for the purchase of a 2011 Ford F-250 4x4 8-foot bed with regular cab truck. The list price is $19,899 with the following options: Western snow plow-$3,490, cab steps-$275, and cruise control/tilt wheel-$199. Thus the total price for the 2011 Ford truck would be $23,863. This would be purchased through the State Purchasing Program. It was the consensus of the Council to authorize the Village Administrator to order said truck.
3) Received written notification from the Pandora-Gilboa School as to their approval of the CRA application submitted by Pandora Grain and Supply,Inc. The School also agreed to the distribution of their share of the funds going to the Village.
ORDINANCE NO. 526-2011:
AN ORDINANCE BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PANDORA, OHIO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT AREA AGREEMENT AND A COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT AREA COMPENSATION AGREEMENT WITH PANDORA GRAIN AND SUPPLY, INC., AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Motion was made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Blank to suspend the rules by which Ordinance No. 526-2011 be read on three separate occasions. Voting: All Yea. Motion was made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Blank to adopt Ordinance No. 526-2011 as an emergency measure. Voting: All Yea.
Discussion was had as to the possibility of the village adding on to the Fire Station building to accommodate the new cascade system and EMS vehicle. The Village Administrator will obtain estimates on the cost of said addition.
Motion was made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. Stall to excuse Mr. Fricke from this meeting. Voting: All Yea.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned upon a motion by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hall. Voting: All Yea.
