Dean Dearth was retired from Anderson Tractor
Dean D. Dearth, age 83, died on May 13, 2016 at 11:50 PM at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
He was born on May 17, 1932, in Orange Township, Hancock County, Ohio, the house he lived in, to J. Kenneth and Mabel L. (Montgomery) Dearth who preceded him in death. On Aug. 26, 1950, he married Sarah B. Willeke and she survives in Ada.
Dean was a farmer and a mechanic. He worked for Anderson Tractor, Bluffton in sales from 1969 -1994. He previously worked at Excello in Lima. Dean was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ since 1944. He was a 1950 graduate of Ada High School. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, boating, camping, snowmobiling and restoring old tractors and Florida.
Also surviving are 3 sons: Jerry (Pam) Dearth of Bluffton, Larry (Kathy) Dearth and Dennis (Pat) Dearth both of Ada; 2 daughters: Connie (Gary) Anderson of Bluffton and Carolyn (Dave) Conaway of Mt. Cory; 1 brother: Russell Dearth of Cave Creek, AZ; 12 grandchildren: Jason (Tess) Dearth, Jana (Josh) Conley, Colby (Angie ) Dearth, Corri (Mark) Devier, Amy (Chad) Marshall, Josh (Nicole) Anderson, Stacey (Sean) Wieland, Lucas (Kelly) Dearth, Lance (Nichole) Dearth, Nicolas (Kim) Conaway, Cody (Megan) Conaway and Kelsey (Andrew) McLachlan and 25 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three great grandchildren and two sisters: Miriam Willeke and infant sister, Marilyn Dearth.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, at Bethel Church of Christ, 4014 County Road 304 (old US30 N) Ada with Pastor Brandon Mayden and Pastor David Underwood officiating. Burial will be in Hasson Cemetery, Jenera.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Church of Christ.
