2008 Bluffton University graduate named Hilty Home administrator
Kimberly Piña was recently named Hilty Home, Pandora, administrator, according to Laura Voth, Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio CEO.
The position came available when Jason Cox accepted the role of marketing director of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio in June.
Kim grew up in Arlington and received her B.A. in recreation management from Bluffton University in 2008. She worked as a youth minister and with the developmentally disabled population before joining Birchaven as an activities assistant in 2012.
From 2014 and 2016, she worked as program manager for dementia care units at Brookdale Muirfield Retirement Community in Dublin.
In 2016, she went to Otterbein small houses in New Albany, Ohio, to complete her Administrator in Training internship. At the same time, she served as activities director and then business office coordinator. She then was hired as coach (assistant administrator).
In 2018, she became executive director for Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus. She and her husband, Renaldo, have a six-month old son, Christian.
Voth said, “I believe she will be a great asset to the Hilty Home campus.”
The Hilty Home was founded in 1979, and the faith-based, non-profit mission was continued in 2012 when ownership transferred to Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio. Since inception Hilty Home has grown to provide Independent Living Villas, Assisted Living Apartments, and even a Preschool and Child Care Center.
