BHS Boys and Girls State reps tell their stories
Bluffton High School’s 2019 representatives to the American Legion Buckeye Boys and Girls State were recognized recently by the Bluffton American Legion Post, who sponsored their attendance in the programs.
Student participants told legion members about their experiences during the recognition.
Students were
• Raina Runk, daughter of Tim and Megan Runk
• Neil Metzger, son of Mike and Amy Metzger
• Zachary Taylor, son of Matthew and Stefanie Taylor
• Angelica Williams, daughter of Roxanne Williams and Brent Reichenbach
(not pictured).
Dennis Morrison legion Boys and Girls State chair, thanked Mike Minnig and Greg Denecker and student counselors for their support of the Bluffton American Legion Buckeye Boys and Girls State.
Morrison said, “American Legion Buckeye Boys and Girls State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for U.S. high school students. I am sure if you ask them, they will say hands down it was a week that will shape a lifetime."
