Beaverdam to begin water treatment plant repairs
FROM FACEBOOK__Starting on June 15, the Village of Beaverdam will begin doing repairs at the water treatment plant that will ensure safe potable water for many years in the future. We expect these repairs to be completed within 15 to 20 days, weather permitting
We will be working on the treatment system that reduces sulfur and Iron concentrations (naturally occurring in groundwater).
It is not expected, but residents may notice a slight odor or discoloration in the water caused by the necessary repairs and improvements.
We will be constantly monitoring the water quality to be sure it meets or exceeds EPA requirements and do not anticipate any problems or water supply disruptions during this time.
Although we recognize it may be tempting to see what is going on because of the construction. It is inherent that with any project of any size, there may be areas that may be dangerous to be around; please avoid the area around the Water Plant, and please instruct your children not to go back to the Water Plant.
The Village of Beaverdam appreciates your understanding during this time, and please rest assured we are working hard to always provide safe, potable water for our customers.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Village Office at 419-643-4231.
