How about a chicken or shrimp dinner and all the music you can eat? It's Friday at the Bluffton Middle School. It's the Bluffton Music Boosters annual barbecue with plenty of foodand lots of musical preformances.

Tickets are still on sale at the middle school office for $7.50 each. Tickets offered include a choice of either a 7-piece shrimp dinner or a chicken barbecue dinner. Dinners are available for take out or eat in. Tickets will be available on Friday at the door depending upon availability.

Dinners are served in the middle school cafetorium from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Mennofolk musicians Heather Kropf and Keith Hershberger with their band, Too Tall Americaons, will perform at the Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series (third floor of the Bluffton town hall) at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 22. Food will be available at 7 p.m.

Formed by Pittsburgh singer/songwriters Keith Hershberger (guitar, vocals) and Heather Kropf (piano, vocals, kazoo), the Too Tall Americanos are an indie folk-pop duo with a fondness for vocal harmonies and thoughtful lyrics and melody.

Apollo Career Center  invites the community to its first Eggcellent Adventure, Saturday, March 23. Activities for the whole family begin at 7:30 a.m., culminating with a 10,000 egg, egg hunt on the front lawn of the Career Center. The grand prize will be a lucky winner and their family winning a trip to Disney (family of four ).

A pancake breakfast will be served 7:30-11:00 a.m. and includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and lemonade, adults: $5, and kids under 10, $3. Other food items available include shredded pork, hot dogs, chips, pop, coffee, water and hot chocolate.

 

The Fort Findlay Stamp and Postcard Club marks its 60th year with its
annual show, Finpex 2013. The theme of this year’s show is the Centennial
of the Findlay Flood of 1913.

This year’s show dates are Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24.  Show
hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.  A special show
postmark and cover commemorating the Centennial of the Findlay Flood will be
available for sale on each day of the show. 

Games and prizes are on the agenda for an all-ages Easter Egg Hunt at Richland Manor, Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to all.  The event will include complimentary refreshments and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

St. John’s United Church of Christ will host a benefit concert for Larry Battle at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 16, at the church, 223 W. College Ave.

The concert will feature the church choir, Michael Lester, Crystal Sellers Battle, Dr. Raymond Wise and others, according to Rev. Carol Clements, pastor of the church.

Battles faces several surgeries, including a gastric bypass and spinal cord surgery.
