At the November Board of Education meeting for the Bluffton Exempted Village Schools, the 2023-2024 School Calendar was established, providing a total of 180 days of instruction and 3 days of Staff Service. The full calendar is attached and highlights are below.

August 22-23-24 - Staff Pre-Service

August 28 - School Opens

December 20 - Last Day of School 2023

January 2 - School Re-opens 2024

May 24 - End of 4th Grading Period

The attached council agenda and packet for the November 28 regular meeting have been provided by the Village of Bluffton.

Items include:

- A resolution authorizing a governmental natural gas aggregation program.

- A resolution to accept the rate charged by the Village of Ottawa for bulk water in 2023.

The Apollo Career Center Board Of Education will hold a Regular Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on November 28, 2022.

The agenda will include:

Personnel: Contract Action, Salary Notices, and Authorization

- Accept the resignation of Dalton Blymyer (1 year), high school teaching assistant, effective at  the end of the work day on November 11, 2022. 

- Hire the following part-time adult education instructor(s) for FY 2023, hours as assigned and  worked, per hourly rates as adopted by the Board of Education on August 29, 2022:

The Board of Education of the Bluffton Exempted Village Schools held a regular meeting in the Elementary Media Center at 7:30 p.m. on November 21, 2022.

All board members were present: Larry Hoffman, President; Brad Dailey, Vice President; Roni Kaufman; Jeremy Scoles and Wes Klinger.

Staff present were Greg Denecker, Superintendent; Marty Herr, Technology Coordinator, Josh Kauffman, Middle School Principal, Paula Parrish, Treasurer, Ben Thiel, Elementary School Principal; Mike Wilson, Maintenance Supervisor.

All legislation was passed unanimously.
