BHS class of 1960 reunion June 25-26

The Bluffton High School class of 1960 will hold its 50th class reunion in Bluffton this June. Members will meet at 8 p.m., Friday, June 25, at Luke's Bar and Grill. Members will meet again at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, June 26, in the town hall.

Farmer's market opening day is May 1

Can't you just taste the strawberries, the jams, the rolls, and smell the flowers? The eighth season of Bluffton's popular farmer's market prepares for opening day, Saturday, May 1, according to Peter Previte, unofficial chair of this favorite Bluffton pastime.

This year's market will take place in its familiar location - the parking lot between Citizens National Bank and the post office. The market opens at 8:30 a.m. and runs until noon, no matter the weather conditions, from May 1 to the final Saturday in October.

Chamber members share their "dreams" for Bluffton

Call it a "working session," 45 members of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce put their heads together and focused on several issues involving the community. The session took place during the April 9 chamber breakfast in the town hall.

The chamber board asked its members to discuss four themes:

1 - Increasing communication to benefit member businesses

2 - Provide resources for members

3 - Inform and education members

4 - Grow and promote Bluffton

School board holds special meeting April 12

The Bluffton school board will hold a special meeting at 8 p.m., Monday, April 12, in the superintendent's office to discuss three items of business, according to Greg Denecker, superintendent.
