For the second straight week a Bluffton University women's golfer has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week. One tournament that stretched across two weeks of HCAC voting saw the Beavers honored on consecutive Tuesdays.

Sophomore Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) fired a 77 on Monday, Sept. 26, at the Country Club of Meadville. It was just two strokes off the school mark of 75. Kline's 163 at the Guy and Jeanie Kuhn Memorial also bested her former school record of 164 set earlier this year.

The visiting Bluffton High School girls soccer team clinched its second league title in three seasons with a convincing 4-1 road win at fellow league unbeaten Columbus Grove Tuesday night, October 4.

The decisive showdown victory upped the Pirate record to 12-2 overall, and they finished 6-0 in the NWC. 

Bluffton University senior Jeremy Locklear (Lincoln Park, Mich./Harry S. Truman) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance against Franklin on October 1.

The Bluffton High School volleyball team swept a three-setter over visiting Spencerville in a Northwest Conference match Tuesday evening, October 4.

The 25-20, 25-19, 25-17 win upped the overall Bluffton record to 12-7 this season, and they evened their league mark at 3-3. 

The Bearcats dropped to 3-12 an 0-6 in the NWC with the defeat.

Kendall Stackhouse hit 13 kills to pace Bluffton. Ayla Grandey knocked down 11 kills.

Versatile Gracie Yarnell doled out 18 assists and served five aces.

The Bluffton High School girls tennis team lost 5-0 to visiting LCC on Tuesday, October 4, ending their regular season.

The Pirate season record dropped to 3-14.

The Thunderbirds won all five matches in straight sets.

The Bluffton High School volleyball team got back on the winning track by sweeping visiting Patrick Henry in a non-conference match Monday evening, October 3.

The decisive 25-13, 25-10, 25-14 win upped the overall Bluffton record to 11-7 this season. The victory snapped a three-match losing skid.

The Patriots dropped to 6-9 with the defeat.

Bluffton was led in kills by Ayla Grandey, who knocked down 11 and served a pair of aces.

Kendall Stackhouse hit five kills, while Morgan Fruchey compiled four kills and 10 digs.
