Lady Pirates in Division III softball Sweet 16

The Bluffton Lady Pirates earned their first ever softball District Championship Saturday afternoon at Wapakoneta, as they trounced the McComb Panthers 12-2 in 6 innings. The Pirates advanced to the finals after a 9-5 win over New Bremen on Friday evening.

2011 baccalaureate service Sunday evening at Ebenezer

Bluffton High School's 2011 baccalaureate service is at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 22, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church.

Several members of the 2011 graduating class are participating. A copy of the service is available in the attachment at the bottom of this story.

Bluffton's Page Dairy Co.

Here's a view of The Page Dairy Co., a once-upon-a-time flourishing Bluffton business. We believe that Leland Gerber took this photo. The building stands today but looks a bit different. It is on Triplett Drive where the Bluffton school buses are parked.

There are several items to point out in this photo. Perhaps senior Icon viewers can share more information with us.

Notice the condition of Triplett Drive - at the time this photo was taken, it was Harmon Road. The street doesn't appeared to be paved.

Two Division II district baseball games at Bluffton today

Bluffton University baseball Memorial Field will host two Division II high school district baseball games today.
3:15 p.m - Wapakoneta vs. Bath
5:15 p.m. - Eastwood vs.Shawnee
