Mother Nature promises a sunny day for Saturday's arts and crafts show

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce bought a "Sunny Day" card from Mother Nature. That means that the 40th annual Bluffton Arts and Crafts Show will have sunny weather on Saturday, May 21.

This year's show includes over 60 crafters and Bluffton businesses displaying their products. Show hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street between the town hall and the Bluffton Post Office.

Bluffton food pantry benefits from Bluffton Community Markets project

Community Markets partnered with Food For All to run a holiday season point-of-purchase fundraiser from Nov. 1, 2010 - Jan. 3, 2011.

The fundraiser featured boards stocked with $1, $3 and $5 donation coupons at each checkout stand. Community Markets in Bluffton selected Bluffton Community Food Assistance to be the beneficiary of the Food For All fundraiser this year.

Francis Salucci 1925-2011

Francis Salucci

World War II veteran Francis Salucci, 86, of Pandora died at 5:05 a.m., May 15, 2011, at the Bridge Hospice Center, Findlay. He was born April 28, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan, to Vincent and Mary Frammolino Salucci. On Jan. 25, 1946, he married Doris I. Weis and she preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 1995.

Following his graduation from Fordson High School, Dearborn, Mich., in 1943, Mr. Salucci enlisted in the Navy V-6 Air Cadet Program. He served until 1947 as an aviation radioman 2nd class and trained in radio, radar and aerial gunnery.
