Pirate volleyball falls to Shawnee

Playing at home, the Bluffton volleyball team lost to Shawnee in four tough sets Monday, August 19.

August Discovery Days are this Friday-Saturday

Eighteen businesses are particpating in this weekend's Discovery Days promotion in Bluffton. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce is coordinating prize drawings for up to $100 in Bluffton Bucks. Get a ticket when you stop in one of the businesses above, get additional tickets for each $10 spent, up to $100.

Quellhorst is university's Interim Head Golf Coach

Bluffton University has named Clay Quellhorst '23 as Interim Head Golf Coach.

Quellhorst is a 2023 graduate of Bluffton University. He has been serving as the graduate assistant, while earning his MBA from Bluffton, for the program for the past year. Last season, Quellhorst helped lead the women's team to a fourth-place finish and the men's team to a fifth-place finish at the HCAC tournament. Quellhorst was a member of the men's golf team for four years.

Bluffton Presbyterian Church is celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2024. Located at Cherry and Main streets and providing what is effectively the village’s town square, the church is a prominent landmark and institution in Bluffton.

It’s still a bit of a surprise to learn that the church once graced the front page of the New York Times, a publication that currently has over 10 million subscribers.

Sprague joins CNB as Mortgage Loan Originator

Citizens National Bank (CNB) has welcomed Tim Sprague as a Mortgage Loan Originator in their Bluffton Office. In this role, he will facilitate mortgage, home equity, and other retail loan applications. 

Tim previously worked at CNB from 1994 to 2004 in several roles to start his banking career.  “I have always had an appreciation for CNB for giving me an opportunity to begin and build my career within the mortgage industry.  I enjoy putting the ‘puzzle’ together for my customers and building trust with personal relationships.”
