Annual Inter-Church Board of Bluffton meeting Nov. 5

 

The community is invited to the annual "town hall" meeting of the Bluffton Inter-Church Board. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, in the fellowship hall at First Mennonite Church. 

Agenda items will include approval of the financial report, discussion of the visioning
process for the Bluffton Community Assistance Program, and a recognition
of Paula McKibben for her years of service as director of that program and
its food bank.

"Anabel" production at First Mennonite cancelled

The production of The Mad River Theater Works musical drama "Anabel" on Oct. 27 at First Mennonite Church has been cancelled due to an illness of a cast member.

The drama was announced previously on The Icon.

Jim Boedicker performs at Pleasant View UMC Oct. 28

Jim Boedicker will be in concert at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church, Bluffton, on
Sunday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to this concert.

His repertoire includes many humorous songs, occasionally some trick guitar work, standards and serious songs that can speak to and stay with is audiences. His casual
style works equally well in a large concert setting or a small intimate group, and he especially enjoys performing family venues.

St. Mary's Church invites vendors to Nov. 10 Christmas bazaar

St. Mary's Catholic Church is inviting vendors and crafters to participate in its Christmas Bazaar.

The bazaar  will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bluffton. Space is limited. Vendors accepted on a first come first serve basis. Space fee is $25 plus a donated item for silent auction.

Trinity Lutheran mission festival Oct. 28

A Mission Festival will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera, in both the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services on Sunday, Oct. 28. 

Pastor Dan Myers, a missionary to Cameroon, Africa, will speak on the darkness of not knowing Jesus as the Savior makes the urgency of mission work.  He and his wife Peggy will also speak at the Bible Class at 9:20 a.m. 

The students of Kindergarten through eighth grade will sing "Go Into the World."  Everyone is welcome and the church is handicapped accessible.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH HOSTS COFFEE HOUSE-STYLE PERFORMANCE
FEATURING CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN ARTIST, NIC STEVENS

Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter, Nic Stevens, will present a Coffee House-style performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, in the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, located at 2330 S. Main St. in Findlay. 

The concert, part of the 33rd Season of the First Presbyterian Church Artist Series, is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be received.
