Camerata Singers

The Bluffton University Camerata Singers will sing in the 10:30 a.m. worship service of Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora, on Sunday, March 21, according to Dennis Schmidt, pastor.

Camerata Singers is a select 29-member choir conducted by Judy Hall, adjunct professor of music for Dr. Mark Suderman while he is on sabbatical this spring. Allison Ringold, adjunct piano instructor, is the group's accompanist.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera, continues its Wednesday evening Lenten series at 7 p.m., March 17.

The theme "Jesus of Nazareth is Passing By" will be addressed by Pastor Jeff Bolwerk in his sermon on Simon of Cyrene titled "Why Me?" taken from Luke 23:26-31.

The students in grades 7-8 will sing "Go to Dark Gethsemane" and will serve a light supper with the students of grades 5-6 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the supper and the service. The church is handicapped accessible and more information is at trinitylutheran-jenera.org

First Mennonite Women will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, March 8, in the church Fellowship Hall. Shahad Alidoori will talk about the life of women in Iraq.

St. John's United Church of Christ will have a beef and noodle dinner from 4:30 to 6:40 p.m., Friday, March 19, at the church. Carry-out meals are available and also free delivery if persons call the evening of the dinner at 419-358-5641.

Meals are $7 for adults, $5 for high school and college students and $4 for kindergartners through sixth grade.

The 61-voice Martin Luther College Choir from New Ulm, Minnesota, will present a concert "Speak, O Lord" at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera, at 7 p.m.,Tuesday, March 9.

The choir will sing familiar Christian hymns accompanied by brass, organ, timpani, piano, woodwinds and strings. There is no admission charge but a freewill offering will be received to help cover tour expenses.

Martin Luther college is the worker training college of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

Bluffton Area Ministerial Association is sponsoring two tours of churches in the Bluffton community in March. Each church visit will include a presentation by the host church which may include a short tour of the building along with a short history of the building and congregation.

If time permits some facts about the denomination will be included in the presentations. Seven churches are participating in the tours which will take place on Saturday mornings - March 13 and 27.
