First Mennonite Church will host a dialogue on the difficulties facing the community of Las Pavas in the Magdalena Medio region of Colombia, South America. The dialogue is at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 13, at the church.

Phil Hart, Christian Peacemaker Teams reservist from Columbus Mennonite Church, will show slides and present an update on the story of the Las Pavas community from his visit there in early February.

Eight Bluffton churches will come together in a worldwide ecumenical movement to observe a common day of prayer. The Bluffton service is at 7 p.m., Friday, March 5, at the Bluffton Presbyterian Church.

Services begin at sunrise in the Pacific and follow the sun across the globe on the day of celebration. Each year a different country serves as the writer of the World Day of Prayer worship service.

Two community meals are planned in March by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association. Both meals are open to the public and are held at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St. The meals begin at 6 p.m. Donates support the Bluffton Community Assistance Program's food pantry.

Emmanuel United Church of Christ will hold its annual spring fish fry. The event is from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 12 at the church. The church is located at 8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton. Meals are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children.

On Wednesday, March 3, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, will hold a Lenten Service at 7 p.m.

Pastor Kenneth Engdahl from Grace Lutheran Church, Kenton, will preach on "Jesus Before Pilate-His Verdict or Ours." The students of grades 3-4 will sing "He Has Surely Borne our Sorrows" during the service and serve the meal which begins at 5:30 p.m.
