Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and School will host a Trunk-or-Treat event in the church/school parking lots, 301 N. Main St., Jenera, from 5:30 –7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31.
The event will have crafts, games and people handing out goodies from decorated car trunks, all of which are free. Hot dogs, hamburgers and other food items will be available for purchase. Everyone is welcome.
Pandora United Methodist Churchill hold its annual Christmas craft boutique, Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.
"Come shop our quality crafters and direct-sale vendors. Free admission. Food available for purchase," according to Duane Kimberley, pastor.
First Mennonite Church Senior High Youth Fellowship members are selling fair trade, organic "Menno's Best" One Village Coffee as a fundraiser this year.
Dark, medium and decaf varieties are offered, in whole bean or ground. Each 12-ounce package coffee is $15. For each package sold, the youth group receives $6 and $1 is donated to Mennonite Central Committee’s peace and justice work.
Coffee orders are placed monthly through April, 2019.
Nine different soups will be offered during a soup benefit planned by Pleasant View United Methodist Church near Bluffton. Proceeds from the event will be used for training and equipping a service dog of an Ottawa man.
The soup benefit is Sunday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public. The church is located at 300 Township Road 37, Bluffton. This is just east of County Line Road 1 (16 in Hancock County).
St. John's United Church of Christ, 223 W. College Ave., Bluffton, will hold a beef and noodle dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, at the church.
Persons may dine in or take out. The menu includes homemade noodles, beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, apple sauce, roll, assorted pies, beverage.
