The Pandora United Methodist Church will host a free community meal on Wednesday, July 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora. The meal this month is provided by the Hilty Home. The menu is chicken salad croissant, baked beans, chips, potato salad, strawberry cake, and beverage.
Abe Cramer is the featured musician in a Sing and Celebrate program at Riley Creek United Methodist Church, 7102 Road M, Ottawa.
The program is at 7 p.m., Sunday, July 15, according to Rev. Duane Kemerley, pastor.
Other musicians for the evening are Laura Coburn, piano and Jason Horstman, opening singing.
The congregation also celebrates the step-by-step milestones in a project to expand its building and facilities. The architectural plans for the proposed building addition will be displayed and the footprint outlined.
Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton, will hold an ice cream social from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3.
There will be shredded chicken or sloppy joe sandwiches, chicken noodles, baked beans, salads, pies, cakes, and Dietsch ice cream. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.
First United Methodist is the host church of this year’s Community Vacation Bible School held Sunday through Thursday, July 22-26. VBS time is from 6 to 8 p.m. and it is open to youth from age 4 through fifth grade.
The VBS theme “Game On!” focuses on gearing up for life’s big game from 2 Peter 1:3. First United Methodist is located at 116 Church St., across from the Bluffton elementary.
