Transport For Christ has installed a second mobile chapel in Beaverdam, with this one located at the Flying J Travel Plaza, I-75 and 30N. The first mobile chapel is across the road at the Pilot Travel Center.
The public is invited to attend a dedication of the new Second Chance Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5. Personnel from the international TFC office in Marietta, Pa., will attend, as will several musical groups. Light refreshments will be served.

A mathematics educator from John Carroll University will address connections between the Common Core State Standards for math and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education on Sept. 23 at Bluffton University.
Speaking in a Bluffton forum at 11 a.m. in Founders Hall, Linda Gojak will discuss how she believes the standards can improve math education from kindergarten through college, as well as STEM education in general. Her presentation is free and open to the public.
