Participants in the third annual Giving Tuesday—a global initiative to encourage charitable giving amid holiday consumerism—can direct their generosity for the first time to Bluffton University on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
The university hopes to raise $10,000 in online gifts in 24 hours that day. The amount raised will be matched, up to $10,000, by an anonymous donor’s gift to the Bluffton Fund. To make a gift, go to https://connect.bluffton.edu/

If you didn't care to watch the premier, the movie is also shown nightly at 7 and 9:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 and 4 p.m.
Kick-off your holiday shopping on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 2-4 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 223 W. College Ave., in Bluffton. Stop in anytime for cash and carry items, free samples and refreshments.
Making his debut will be Larry Battle, with Larry’s Cakes. These delicious pound cakes will be available for sampling. Orders for the holidays can be placed. Cakes come in all sizes to feed the smallest or largest family gathering.
Winners of the Bluffton Lions Club has announced the winners of its peace poster contest: first place, Danielle Novak; second place, Kylee Staley; and third place, Bailey Edwards.
The Bluffton High School Latin and art departments are planning a trip to Italy and Greece in June of 2016, and have opened the trip to adults in the Bluffton community. Interested persons are invited to attend an information meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25.
