Bluffton High School football standout Isaac Little will join the University of Cincinnati's football program as a preferred walk-on. The announcement was made on Feb. 5 by Alex Hanna, BHS athletic director.
As a Pirate, Little was a first team all-Ohio, all-Northwest Ohio and all-Northwest Conference player.
The Bluffton fire department takes on the Bluffton police department in the second annual Battle of the Badges basketball game. The police team hopes to defend their title from last year’s inaugural contest.
The event, at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 2, at the Sommer Center at Bluffton University, is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted at the door.
The fund-raiser will include raffles, door prizes, a 50-50 drawing, concessions and the chance for a half-court shot.

Bill and Mary Ann Suter gave a Power Point presentation "How to get 85 horses coast to coast with no hay and a little bread," during the Jan. 21 Bluffton Lions Club meeting.
Bill and Mary Ann spoke about a flight across the United State in their small 85 HP two-seater Cessna 150 airplane.
The trip took weeks as they landed every two hour with a head wind. Their speed was a little faster than vehicles travelling below on the roadway.
Donations can be dropped off to BFR (215 Snider Road in Bluffton) during all building hours.
Friday, Feb. 14, is the last day for donations to the Used Shoe Drive underway at BFR Sports & Fitness. Used shoes of any type, size and condition are welcome. All donations will be sent to micro-enterprise operations across the world where items are cleaned and repaired for resale or dismantled for recycling.
BFR Sports and Fitness' Keeping Active program is at the halfway mark this week. Community members of all ages are invited to take part in a variety of free programs including free fitness classes, free days of walking inside the BFR facility, nutritional information sessions, and family events.
