Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct. 14, for Bluffton University’s fall production of “Well,” by Lisa Kron.
Dr. Melissa Friesen, a professor and chair of communication and theatre at Bluffton, will direct the show, being staged at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7-9 and at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in Ramseyer Auditorium in College Hall. Reserved tickets, $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for senior citizens (65 and over) and non-Bluffton students, are available online at http://tickets.bluffton.edu or at the door.
Native American Guy Jones will discuss the issue of self-identity and the search for one’s place in American society in a Bluffton University forum on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Jones’s presentation, “Who Said I’m an Indian?” is free and open to the public beginning at 11 a.m. in Founders Hall.
Leonard Dunahay, 73, of Beaverdam died Oct. 11, 2013, at Lime Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. Arrangements are pending at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
“Plain Communication in a Digital Age: The Case of the Old German Baptist Brethren” will be Dr. Gerald Mast’s topic in a Bluffton University colloquium on Friday, Oct. 18.
Free and open to the public, the presentation will begin at 4 p.m. in Stutzman Lecture Hall in Bluffton’s Centennial Hall.
Richard D. Stewart, 75, died Oct. 10, 2013, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born Nov. 26, 1937, in Lima to the late Dale and Inez (Glancy) Stewart. On June 22, 1963, he married Nancy K. Houts and she died June 18, 2011.
Richard had worked at Lima Ford Engine Plant. He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. He was a member of the Columbus Grove Fender Benders. He was a graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School.
