Raymond E. Nesler, 88 died July 20, 2013, at Ohio Veteran's Home, Sandusky. He was born Aug. 4, 1924, in Hancock County to the late Clarence and Verna (Longbrake) Nesler.
On Aug. 14, 1949, he married Mary Ellen Boehm and she survives. Raymond was a retired farmer and had also been a gasoline distributor. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jenera. He enjoyed working with draft horses and refinishing furniture. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II where he received a Purple Heart.

With one-half of the swimming season behind us Bluffton council will act on a recommendation to sell season passes at a 50 percent reduction, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator.
Council will meet on Monday to consider the action. Should the recommendation pass half-price tickets will go on sale July 23. Council offers these half-price passes at the mid-point of each swim season.
Communty Vacation Bible School offers a new twist on the Psalm, "Let everything that breaths praise the Lord." One of the games at VBS on Sunday night was a "breath" contest. The Inn at Ohio Northern University’s dining, pub and meeting areas will be closed from July 22 through early fall. For its guests’ convenience, The Inn is currently experiencing construction to these areas. It will reopen in the fall.
