The Bluffton Public Library will host a special after-hours Holiday Extravaganza and Silent Auction Preview on Friday, Nov. 8. Doors open at 6 p.m. and demonstrations will begin at 6:30 p.m.
"Come and get a head start on holiday shopping, enjoy a night out and support literacy and learning at the same time," said Cindi Chasse, library director.
October's free community meals are set at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center and Bluffton Area Ministerial Association.
First United Methodist Church is host to the Thursday, Oct. 3 meal. English Lutheran Church is host to the Thursday, Oct. 17 meal. The meals, open to the public, are free. An monetary donation given goes to the Bluffton Community Assistance Program's food pantry.
Meals are served at 6 p.m. at the Senior Center, 132 N. Main St., Bluffton
Doris Hamman will receive her life membership award during the Monday, Oct. 14, Bluffton Senior Citizens Association monthly dinner meeting. Hamman turns 90 this month.
The dinner meeting's program is provided by dancers from Gina's dance studio. Roger Edwards is the master of ceremonies. A catered meal by the Mt. Cory United Methodist Church will be served. Tickets are $7 and must be purchased by Oct. 4.
Mennonite Memorial Home's Sunday and Tuesday worship services are planned for October. Here's the schedule:

Gary Augsburger, owner of Gary’s Repair, 2667 Road P, Pandora, has added a Simplicity dealership to his mower sales and repair business.
Augsburger said that his business now carries all Simplicity products and services these products.
Simplicity offers a line of zero-turn riding mowers, garden tractors, walk-behind snow blowers, pressure washers, generators and other products.
