Santa was really nice to the Icon and shared all the letters he received from Teri Steinmetz's first grade class. The kids wrote the following:

Keith and Esther Brauen celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last month. On Nov. 24 their family celebrated the anniversary and had a family Thanksgiving at the Ebenezer Mennonite Church. Keith and Esther had 10 children. There are 84 descendants and spouses total (with more on the way). There was only one person missing from this photo. Click on image to enlarge.

To the residents of Bluffton and the surrounding communities, I would like to say "thank you" for you loyalty, trust and patronage.

You’re loyalty and support has been the cornerstone to the success of Greg’s Pharmacy.

There comes a time when all good things must end and this is the time for me. I have decided to sell the pharmacy. The official sale will take place on Dec. 31, 2012. 

Wilma M. Lehman, 91 died at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 20, 2012 at Richland Manor Nursing Home.  Arrangements are pending at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Two downtown businesses will hold an open house on from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at 105 Vine St.

The open house is held by Wendy Chappell, executive director of  International College of Integrative Medicine, ICIM, and by Laurel Neufeld Weaver, of Creative Hope Counseling.

“We invite the community to our holiday open house celebrating the recent opening of our joint office serving the Bluffton greater community,” said the two women.

Hot drinks and refreshments will be served.

George R. Huser, 82 died at 12:40 p.m. Dec. 19, 2012 at Bluffton Hospital. 

He was born December 24, 1929 in Pandora to Philemon and Elizabeth (Basinger) Huser.  He married Ann Dearth who survives in Charleston, SC and they were divorced.  In June 1983 he married Rachel Hoffer and she died in August 2010.

He had been a self-employed painter and had worked for Rusco Industries, Meadville, PA.  He had retired from McIntosh, Bluffton. 

He had attended Riley Creek United Methodist Church and Pandora United Methodist Church.
