The Holiday session of youth and adult programs at BFR Sports & Fitness will begin the week of Oct. 29. Adult Fitness Classes continue into December. Youth sport skill 7-week sessions will also begin the week of Oct. 29. In addition to sport skill and fitness classes, BFR offers  fitness center memberships, track passes and recreation passes.

The Bluffton High School class of 1962 held its 50th class reunion in late September.

The Ada High School football team moved into the number 1 spot in Division VI Region 24 in the Ohio High School Athletic Association's weekly football computer rankings. This is the first week of the season that the Bulldogs are ranked first. The top eight teams in each region will qualify for the regional quarterfinals. The OHSAA will release final computer ratings and regional quarterfinal pairings Sunday afternoon, Oct. 28.

Lima Central Catholic is ranked number 1 in Divison V, Region 18. LCC and Ada play this weekend.

Health Trends, 123 E. Buckeye St., Ada, offers Zumba fitness classes several times each week, according to Lynne Scott. Zumba is a Colombian dance fitness program created by dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez during the 1990s.

Classes are offered:
• Mondays, 5:45 to 6:45 p.m.
• Thursdays, 10-11 a.m. and 7-8 p.m.
AND
• Zumba Gold (for beginners) Thursdays, 9 to 9:40 a.m.

Billy Dean Fridley, 81 of Pandora, died at 2:48 p.m. Oct. 22, 2012, at St. Rita’s Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. 

He was born July 20, 1931, in Bluffton to Clarence and Edith (West) Fridley.  On June 5, 1953 he married Janice Diller and she survives.

Billy retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima.  He also had a craft shop along with his wife.  He was a member of Pandora Missionary Church, and attended Missionary Church of Ottawa and Leipsic Church of the Nazarene.  He was a U.S. Army veteran. He graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School.
