Wendy Chappell-Dick of Bluffton will perform a free concert she titles "Garden Songs" from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 27, at the Meeting Place on Market, Lima.

The Meeting Place will offer a $5 dessert buffet (includes gluten free baking) during the performance.

Chappell Dick said that the performance includes folk music about green stuff from Appalachian Mountain.

"The music includes songs to singer-songwriter favorites," she said. "Come hear music to entertain, entrance and inspire you in your growing season."

Bluffton Relay for Life is having a garage sale Saturday, May 5, behind the farmers market in the high school parking lot, according to Lynda Best.

Anyone may rent a spot for their own garage sale at the event for $10. The $10 fee goes to Relay. Anyone wishing to donate items for the garage sale may call Best at 419-358-7593 or Jeanie 419-358-7613. no clothes please.

Theresa Flores is the featured speaker at an all-day program titled "Waiting for US to Care: Responding to Human Trafficking in our Communities."

The workshop is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 27, at Bradfield Community Center, 550 S. Collett St. Lima, according to Bluffton resident, Laura Neufeld-Weaver of Crime Victim Services.

Bluffton Lions have two meetings in May. On Tuesday, May 1, Cassie Jo Arenda from the Engage Speakers Bureau will offer a presentation on Cooper Farms and its place in American agriculture today.

On Tuesday, May 15, Dr. Dwight Moody, entomology professor, University of Findlay, will talk on "Dragonflies and Damselflies.
