C-RHS grad, Calvin Ice, recipient of leadership award
Ohio Northern University student Calvin Ice, a fifth-year pharmacy major from Rawson, has been chosen as a recipient of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Student Leadership Award. Ice is one of 12 students in the nation to be selected for the award.
The Student Leadership Award is presented to four students in each class, for a total of 12 recipients across the nation. The award is given to someone who is interested in health-system pharmacy and has demonstrated leadership skills.
"I am very grateful for the honor and privilege of receiving this award," said Ice. "I appreciate the many opportunities that Ohio Northern University has granted me to develop my leadership skills and potential both inside and outside the formal didactic learning environment. There have been excellent opportunities to get involved with top-notch professional pharmacy organization student chapters and leaders here on campus."
Ice will be awarded a plaque, a $2,500 cash award presented by the ASHP Research and Education Foundation, and a drug information library.
