Ronald Anderson worked in electronics maintenance
Ronald B. Anderson, Bluffton, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014. He was born January 9, 1929 in Lima, Ohio to Edgar and Lula (Clark) Anderson, who preceded him in death. On January 9, 1952, he married Fern B. Badertscher; they were married 51 years. Fern passed away on September 26, 2003.
He is survived by his son Dr. David L. Anderson, San Diego, California and
daughter Debra L. Sommers, Powell, Ohio. Ron’s son-in-law Daniel L. Sommers
preceded him in death on May 19, 2014. Ron also is survived by a sister,
Connie Strain, Zanesville, Ohio, and seven nieces and three nephews.
He was a graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School; he also completed
numerous electronics courses. He worked at Triplett Corporation for 20 years
and F & R Lazarus for 20 years as the manager of appliance repair. He and
his wife also operated Anderson Electronics and Maintenance, where he sold
and repaired televisions and small appliances in Bluffton.
He was a long-time member of the Ebenezer Mennonite Church where he taught Sunday School and Bible School and operated the church sound system recording worship services.
He spent his last years residing at the Assisted Living Facility at Hilty
Home in Pandora, Ohio.
A private family service was held in the Ebenezer Mennonite cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted with Chiles-Laman Funeral Services.
