Frances Buroker 1919 to 2015

L. Frances (Fran) Buroker, 96, formerly of Mount Victory, Ohio, died at 12:49 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.  24, 2015, at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.

Fran was born May 25, 1919, in Hardin County, Ohio, to William and Maedene (Carr) Dyer. On June 15, 1940, she married Erven W. Buroker, who preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1998. They were married for 58 years.

She was a homemaker on their farm in Mount Victory for 30 years. Additionally, she worked at Essex Wire in Kenton. She and Erven moved to Bluffton in 1989. Fran was a participant in Bluffton Senior Citizens Center activities, a member of Mt. Victory United Methodist Church and attended Bluffton Presbyterian Church.

Fran is survived by her 8 children, 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great- grandchildren: Walter (Linda) Buroker of Leesburg, Ind., and Hilton Head, S.C., and their children: Jeff, Lori, and Amy; Charles (Elaine) Buroker of Aiken, S.C., and their children: Darby and Jason; Gary (Kathy) Buroker of Navarre, Fla., and their children: Christie and Brady; Rowe (Elane, deceased) Buroker of Kenton, and their children: Rowena, Rowe, Rody Eric, and Rochelle; Waldo (Dawn) Buroker of Bluffton, and their children: Jessica, Tara, and Alexa; Gale (Ronald) Bolen of Alhambra, Ill., and their children: Damien and Kiley; Maedene (Richard) Pfouts of Uniontown, and their children: Ian and Alexandra; Darrell (Rhonda) Buroker of Bluffton and their children: Maegan, Brittany, Jenna, and Paige. She also has one surviving sister, Alta White of La Rue.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Dyer and Robert Dyer, and 3 sisters, Anna Oats, Clara Belle Dennis, and Edna Hesser.

The family will be having a private memorial service now, and on July 9, 2016, there will be a celebration-of-life event in the Bluffton area for family and friends. Burial of cremated remains will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery near Mt. Victory.
