BFR summer camp starts May 29
Summer camp is coming to Bluffton Family Recreation. And, so are several additional youth opportunities.
Summer camp
The camp, for 5 to 12-year-olds, begins Tuesday, May 29, and continues weekdays through Aug. 25, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.
Casey Rowe, who will graduate from Bluffton University this weekend, is the lead counselor. Summer camps will have themes and several additional activities for campers.
Here are the details:
• Open to 5- to 12-year-olds
• Held Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Bring snacks, lunch and drinks
• $60 per week for members; $120 per week for non-members
• Only 24 spots are available per week
• Registration now underway, first-come, first-served basis
• Sign up online, by phone or in person
K-3 Basketball
May 7-28
Mondays, 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Basic basketball skills like passing, shooting, dribbling
$20 for members/$35 non-members
Speed and agility
May 7-30
Mondays and Wednesdays, 4-4:45 p.m.
4th-5th-6th grade
Workout with BFR staff
$20 members/$30 non-members
Little Movers
Wednesday, May 9-30
18-months to 5 years
$15 members/$30 non-members
4th-5th-6th grade volleyball league
May 11-June 15
Friday evenings
Summer youth volleyball league – learn the basics

7th-8th grade boys’ basketball league
