This photo was taken in the mid 1950s.
Dennis Morrison took these photo on Dec. 10. The project involved members of the Bluffton Boy Scout troop 256 with their leaders, under the direction of Dick Boehr.
The project involved probing for and recovering cemetery markers in the Jefferson Street cemetery. Some of the markers have been buried since State Route 103 was constructed and are possibly under the street.

Harley D. Augsburger, 91 of Bluffton died at 2:20 a.m. Dec. 9, 2011, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. He was born Feb. 7, 1920 in Bluffton to Walter and Leona Burkholder Augsburger.
He was married to Estelle Bogart and she preceded him in death in 1953. On May 29, 1954 he married Glenna Mae Reiter and she died Sept. 13, 2006.
Harley had worked at Triplett Corporation, Bluffton for 30 years. He was a member of the First Missionary Church, Bluffton. He enjoyed watching football and graduated from Bluffton High School.
Jane A. Everett Leaveck, 60 died at 10:55 PM Dec. 8, 2011, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born Nov. 14, 1951, in Bluffton to Lyle and Evelyn (Steinman) Everett.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Ingalls Restaurant in Bluffton. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton and was a 1970 graduate of Bluffton High School.
Survivors include two brothers Bob (Pam) Everett of Bluffton and Randy (Jaimie) Everett of Ottawa; a sister Jana (Wayne) Huber of Bluffton; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
