The Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio Service Group will hold its fifth annual Thanksgiving bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, in the Mennonite Memorial Home lobby, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.
The bake sale offers delicious cinnamon rolls, pies, cakes, cookies and breads ready for your holiday entertaining.
All proceeds from the sale go to The Service Group of Mennonite Home Communities Of Ohio.

Bluffton University kicker Austin Sweeney (Adrian, Mich./Whitmer) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on special teams for the week ending November 13, 2011.
Austin Sweeney helped the Beavers to a 46-27 win over Defiance on Saturday with field goals of 39 and 24 yards as well as four PAT's. He booted eight kickoffs a total of 459 yards (57.4 yards per kick). Sweeney ended the day with 10 points.

The State Library of Ohio has approved $16,102 in Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds for Bluffton Public Library to join the Serving Every Ohioan (SEO) Consortium.
The LSTA funds will cover 75 percent of the costs to migrate to SEO. The grant will run from Oct. 1, 2011, through Sept. 30, 2012.
The SEO Library Center, located in Caldwell, supports a consortium of 79 library systems at 176 physical locations throughout 41 counties across Ohio. Several area libraries, including Findlay, Ada and Forest, are members of the SEO consortium.
