The Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio Service Group will hold its fifth annual Thanksgiving bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, in the Mennonite Memorial Home lobby, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.

The bake sale offers delicious cinnamon rolls, pies, cakes, cookies and breads ready for your holiday entertaining.

All proceeds from the sale go to The Service Group of Mennonite Home Communities Of Ohio.

Bluffton Middle School is having a Scholastic Book Fair on Friday, Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 18, 21 and 22. The book fair hours on Friday and Monday are during school.

Book fair hours on Monday, Nov. 21, are also from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The sale includes posters, computer software, school supplies and books.

Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents the 17th annual Holiday Spectacular on Friday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m.

There also will be performances at the Civic and Convention Center in Lima, on Friday, Dec. 2, and Saturday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m.

Featuring popular Christmas songs, the production centers on the misadventures of Mrs. Claus and Pixel the elf as they try to help Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.

Elisabeth Pixley-Fink is a Kalamazoo, Michigan-based songwriter and
multi-instrumentalist (keys, guitar, banjo and body), who grew up
studying piano and singing shape note harmonies with her family.
