The Bluffton University Nutrition Association's annual spaghetti dinner to benefit the Lima-based Churches United Food Pantry (CUP) will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at First Mennonite Church, 101 Jackson St., Bluffton.

Bluffton's community Thanksgiving service, planned by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association, will be at 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Bluffton banks - Citizens National, First National and Chase - are currently displaying art pieces that will be auctioned at the Saturday, Nov. 12, Bluffton Center for Entrepreneur art auction.

More than two dozen works by local artists will be auctions. Tickets for the auction dinner are $50 each. The event takes place at The Centre, 601 N. Main St.
Bluffton's Relay For Life will host an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. in the town hall, Thursday, Nov. 10. Light snacks will be available, including some food provided by Luke's Bar & Grill.
"We'll have information about Relay For Life as well as information on how we're impacting the lives of local cancer patients. We'll also have information on how you can join us in the fight against cancer, and hope to see you there," Adam Blevins, American Cancer Society income development specialist told The Icon.
Richard J. and Corrinne (Kamp) Boehr celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 28, 2011.
They were married at Calvary Mennonite Church in Washington, Ill., on that date in 1951. They both had attended Bluffton College and have remained Bluffton residents over the years.
Richard has served the Bluffton community as a real estate broker for the past 54 years and volunteers in the community, Lions Club International, church and the Allen County historical museum.
Bluffton and Richland Township voters followed the state trend and rejected State Issue 2 on Nov. 8.

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio will will honor veterans who are residents at both Bluffton campuses with a ceremony at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 11.
The ceremony is presented by the Bluffton American Legion Post #382. The Mennonite Memorial Home ceremony will be held in the chapel and Maple Crest ceremony in the Patio Room.

Two life-long Bluffton volunteers will be honored during this year's Blaze of Lights.
John Murray, long-time Bluffton resident and member of the Bluffton sesquicentennial committee, will be the 2011 Blaze of Lights parade marshal, according to Terry Mullenhour, chairperson of the Bluffton Village Cultural Affairs Committee.
The Blaze is Saturday, Nov. 26. This year's parade is at 5 p.m. The Ream lights turn on at 7 p.m.
