Ann Stratton will offer antique appraisals during a community antique show from 1 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Richland Manor, Swaney Road, Bluffton.
Food and beverages will be served and the event is open to the public.
Scott Trostel, nationally noted railroad historian, will present at program on the Lima Locomotive Works at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Allen County Museum, Lima. The presentation takes place at the museum at 620 W. Market St., Lima.
His presentation will follow the Allen County Historical Society’s 105th annual membership meeting, according to Dick Boehr of Bluffton, who is a board member of the museum.
Ken Lugibihl will head the Bluffton school board in 2013. The board elected officers and made several other appointments during its Jan. 14 reorganizational meeting.

The 2012 statistics are out for the BFD and according to Jon Kinn, Fire Chief, there was a jump in the number of calls and runs made.
There were 107 calls made to the fire department in 2012, in contrast to the 80 calls made in 2011, a difference of 27 additional calls. In both years, the greatest number of calls were alarm related, with accident related calls being the next highest .

Last week, the Ada resident opened the community’s newest business, Bluffton Psychological Services, LLC. A licensed psychologist in Ohio, she has established an office in the Celebration of Health building at 122 Thurman St. and is now accepting clients.
“I provide individual therapy for adults,” she said. “On a case-by-case basis, I sometimes see adolescents younger than 18 for concerns related to body image and eating disorders.”
Margie Jean Huber, 88, of Melbourne, Fl. passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013.
She was born October 24, 1924 in Ada Ohio and was a former resident of Bluffton, Ohio. Her parents were E.E. (Gene) & Alma Peterson and she graduated from Ada High School.
Margie married C. Berdell Huber on January 1, 1943 in Bluffton, Ohio and they both were instrumental in founding The Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association.
She retired from R C A in Findlay, Ohio.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband Berdell in 2000.
