BLUFFTON, Ohio - For the third straight week and fourth time in the last five weeks, sophomore standout Trey Everett (Sidney/Fairlawn) was named the Heartland Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. It marks the sixth time that Everett has taken home this honor in 2015, including four outdoor field athlete of the week awards in the last five weeks and two during the indoor season!
The Children's Choir at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora,will present the musical, "Big Shot," Sunday, April 26, at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
This story takes place in a garden at 54 Garden Row where the insects are fearing for their lives. The new owner of the property is bringing in the big, bad Goliath DX 1000 for a full property extermination. The insects learn to listen to the smallest insect in the garden, a spider mite, who comes up with a plan to handle the exterminator.
There are over 70 children ages 4 through grade five involved.

ADA, Ohio - The 23rd-ranked Ohio Northern Polar Bears defeated the Bluffton University baseball team on Sunday, April 19, by a score of 19-6. The game was pushed up by over an hour and a half and only went six innings before Mother Nature halted the action for good. The Beavers dropped to 19-13 on the year, while ONU improved to 24-7.
Several spring-related projects are on the village agenda this month. Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, will update council on several of these items at Monday's council meeting.

Garmatter-Kibler street projects
Beaverdam Contracting is in the process of wrapping up both the Garmatter and Kibler Street projects. On Garmatter, all of the water services are connected to the new main line.
ADA, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's and women's track and field team enjoyed summer-like conditions at the Ohio Northern University Polar Bear Invitational on Saturday as they competed in their last regular season meet before the HCAC Conference Championship.
Bluffton school board's Monday focus is on the 2015-16 school year. Several considerations for next year are on the monthly agenda.
Those items includes:
• Elementary, middle school and high school fees
• Several contracts and assignments
• Three classified contracts
• Supplemental contracts
• Handbook approvals
The board will also act to approve a planned high school band trip to New Orleans, La., from March 2-6, 2016.
