CNB now in nine Ohio cities

Citizens National Bank announced that its newest full-service location is now open in Toledo, according to Michael Romey.

Located in the first floor of 3130 Executive Parkway, the facility offers a drive-thru, night deposit, ATM and personalized service for all personal and business banking needs.

Office hours are Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The phone number is 419-720-0009.

With the branch in Toledo, Citizens now has offices in Bluffton, Lima, Celina, Springfield, Defiance, Elida, Van Wert and Findlay.

First United Methodist and Rock UMC collecting items for Lima's ReStore

Habitat for Humanity's ReStore will hold a "fill the truck" event from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 11, in the parking lot between Bluffton High School and First Mennonite Church, according to Dan Groman.

Volunteers will accept good, new and used cabinets, sinks, plumbing, building supplies, windows, doors, appliances, office supplies, furniture, electrical, tools, toys and similar items.

The Pandora United Methodist Church will host a free community meal on Wednesday, July 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.  The meal this month is provided by the  Hilty  Home. The menu is chicken salad croissant, baked beans, chips, potato salad, strawberry cake, and beverage.

Wade A. Lehman, 81, died on July 21, 2018, at his residence. He was born Oct. 20, 1936, in Bluffton to the late Peter A. and Eunice (Burkholder) Lehman.  

Wade served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea for 2 years after the Korean War.  He was a member of the Army's traveling basketball team and also

He worked for 30 years at Scotlad/Roundy's foods and was a member of Moose Lodge 199 and Eagles Lodge Aerie 370 both in Lima. 

Wade loved woodworking and often made handcrafted donations to the Mennonite Relief Sale held in Kidron, Ohio.

ArtSpace/Lima announces the opening of ArtSpace/Pops 2018: A Fine Craft Invitational in The Ellen Nelson Gallery, Sunday, July 29.

ArtSpace/Pops 2018 features new works by some of the area’s best craftsmen and -women in a joint showing which builds on the success of its predecessors.  The 2018 edition will be the 8th annual Pops exhibit.  Artists on display work in wood, metal, clay, paper, glass. fabric, and various jewelry-oriented combinations of metals and beads.

Four team spots still open for BCE's Trivia Night Aug. 1

How skilled are you a trivia? Here's your chance to prove it.

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs invites businesses to enter a team in its Trivia Night.

Eric Berdin, BCE director, said, “We already have nine teams and have space for four more.”

Trivia Night is at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Southgate Lanes bowling alley. A team sponsorship is $150 for a team of six members. The event is a fundraiser for this year’s Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition taking place this fall.

Community Assistance Board maks distribution in August

Bluffton Community Assistance board discussed its back-to-school supply program and reviewed how persons may donate food items to the food pantry. The discussion took place during the July 16 mid-year board meeting.

Bluffton Family Recreation is signing up teams for its fall adult coed volleyball league, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

Games are set for Thursdays from Sept. 6 to Oct. 18. Team fee is $150 with a minimum deposit of $50 due by Aug. 26. All games are played at BFR.
