Visitation on Thursday

Sherlyn R. Lugibihl, 78, died March 5, 2020, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  Sherlyn was born July 1, 1941, in Bluffton to the late Raymond and Burnetta (Steiner) Moser.  On Oct. 16, 1960, she married David Lugibihl who survives.

Here's a photo of Ada's Main Street looking north sometime in the late 1940s or very early 1950s. The truck parked southbound resembles a 1949 Cheverolt. There's even a "woodie" parked on the photographer's side of the street.

Abe Cramer is the guest worship leader and musician at Pandora United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 15, according to Rev. Duane Kemerley, pastor.

He will lead the worship service at the Pandora United Methodist at 9:30 a.m. and at the Riley Creek United Methodist Church at 11 a.m.

 

3D ROBOTICS team is one of 36 to advance to the Ohio FIRST Tech Challenge Championship. The team, from Bethel Church of Christ, rural Ada, competed against 111 teams to compete at to the Ohio Championship in Loveland, Ohio, on March 13-14.  

She plans to enter nursing profession

Kaitlynn Rieman, a senior, is the February Bluffton High School student of the month.

She is a member of Student Senate, National Honor Society, Drama Club, Show choir, Chamber Choir and is a student aide at the elementary school.

She is a varsity cheerleader for basketball and football and had won the Spirit and Leadership awards in cheerleading. She works at the Bluffton Dari Freeze during the spring and summer.

The Bluffton Music Boosters annual chicken barbecue-shrimp dinner and concert is Friday, March 27, at the Bluffton Middle School.

Fourteen music groups from fourth grade to BHS seniors are on the program from 4 p.m. on. Groups are directed by Alice Basinger, elementary; Rachael Lewis, orchestra; David Sycks, band; and Kara Zink, choir.

Signage, public parking and village entrance improvements are ongoing discussions by Bluffton council this winter and spring.

On Feb. 13 council’s streets, lights, alley and sidewalk committee, consisting of Joe Sehlhorst and Jerry Cupples, reviewed six related subjects. That committee reported on its meeting during the Feb. 24 council meeting.
