BHS drama club presents fall production Nov. 14-16

Bluffton High Schoo's Drama Club will present "In Praise of Miss Brown," a two-act comedy in which the five teen members of the cast spend a great deal of time in the home of their teacher, Constance Brown. The play is reminiscent of the "Our Miss Brooks" television series.

The cast includes Darnell Boddie, Emma Burkholder, Jack Neff, Elijah Runk, Erica Sheehan, Adel Sommers, Megan Sycks, and Dylan Whitlow. Kevin Gratz is the director

Performances are November 14 and 15 at 7:30p.m., and November 16 at 2 p.m.
on the Middle School stage.

Order Thanksgiving turkeys from The Dough Hook now

The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., Bluffton, has your Thanksgiving planned. Icon viewers may now order fresh, never frozen turkeys. The order deadline is Saturday, Nov. 15, according to Marlena Ballinger, of the downtown business.

Listen to music, listen to God

Kenneth Heffner believes that the City of God will be a city filled with the arts.

“What we’re longing for as the people of God is the reunification of heaven and earth,” said Calvin College’s director of student activities during an Oct. 28 forum presentation at Bluffton University. “We’re looking forward to the new city that is coming to the earth that is not made by human hands.”

55 firefighters from six departments fought Precast blaze

Investigators and clean-up crews are now on site at the Bluffton Precast Concrete Co., scene of a fire described by officials as a “major loss” on the afternoon of Oct. 29.

Day after the fire

Eighteen hours after a fire engulfed the Bluffton Precast Concrete facility at 8950 Dixie Highway, Bluffton, investigators were on the scene.
