Drew Rayle Memorial Football Game between Bluffton and North Baltimore set for Oct. 4

A Drew Rayle memorial football game will take place between the Bluffton Bucs and North Baltimore Tigers midget football teams at North Baltimore at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4.

Drew died earlier this year. He attended school in North Baltimore and later moved to Bluffton where he attended school. He played midget football for both teams.

The game will include a $1 donation admission. Additional activities include a 50/50 drawing, bake sale, T-shirt sale, food for sale and a balloon release at halftime.

PGHS choir performs for PrimeTimers on Oct. 7

PrimeTimers Fellowship will meet at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 7, at St. John Mennonite Church, 15988 Road 4, Pandora.

PrimeTimers is a ministry of St. John Mennonite Church and Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio. 

The Pandora-Gilboa High School Choir will present a musical program at the event. A free luncheon includes cubed steak, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, rolls, caramel fudge brownies and coffee. The meal is provided for persons attending. Donations are accepted.

Bluffton schools open house Monday evening

The Bluffton Schools will hold a district-wide open house on Monday, Sept. 22.  The elementary school will be open from 6 – 7 p.m., the middle school from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., and the high school from 7 – 8 p.m.

Several community organizations will have booths set-up in the elementary gymnasium and information will be available on ways to provide support to the school and community.

"Concert on the corner" Saturday morning - Main and Cherry

A "concert on the corner" is scheduled downtown Bluffton at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, according to Rev. David Good of the Bluffton Presbyterian Church.

The concert features Jayne McGarrity, Dave Sycks and the Bluffton Presbyterian Church Choir featuring Gospel Jazz and the Feast of Life.

The performance is free and open to the public. It takes place on the Presbyterian Church lawn on the corner of Main and Cherry.

CNB to Host 2015 Economic Forecast Presentations
Robert J. Morgan, Economist, Featured Speaker

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 30, Citizens National Bank will host a series of free seminars featuring Robert J. Morgan, Senior Consultant with Austin Associates, LLC.

Local business owners are invited to hear Morgan present his economic forecast for 2015. He will discuss current market conditions and what he expects to see in regards to unemployment, housing and the challenges facing business owners in the upcoming year.

35 digs for Lauren Parkins in latest BHS volleyball victory

The wins keep piling up for the Bluffton High School volleyball team. The Pirates defeated Spencerville on the road on Sept. 18 3-2.
