Senior Citizen Center invites you to a Western square dance Jan. 30
Are you suffering from the winter blahs, or looking for a new way to get some exercise this winter?
The Bluffton Senior Citizen may have the solution to your blahs.
Tonya Meyer of the Center says: "Maybe you just want to get out of the house to have some fun. Come join the Bluffton Senior Center in learning modern Western square dancing at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30."
She says that Western dance differs from traditional square dancing in the complexity of the calls or movements of the dance.
Lessons will be from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. At that time the dance will begin and will continue until 9 p.m. The caller will offer dances of different complexity based on the dancers who are present.
Having a partner is not necessary as all participants are encouraged to change partners throughout the evening. The cost for the evening is $2 for members and $3 for non-members of the Bluffton Senior Center.
The Bluffton Senior Center plans on sponsoring a dance on the last Monday of every month starting with a half hour of lessons before the dance begins.
