Senior Citizens offer free Hawaii dinner to promote trip to 50th state

In anticipation of the trip to Hawaii later this year, the Bluffton Senior Center will host a Hawaiian meal at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 24, according to Tonya Meyers, director.

The meal will include ham with pineapple, sweet potatoes, peas, fruit salad, pineapple up-side-down cake and drinks and will be catered by Schnipke Inn, Ottawa.

There will be a presentation on the Hawaiian trip, including pictures of places that will be seen on the tour. One of the speakers is coming from Hawaii to make the presentation.

The Senior Center will be going to Hawaii in September and space is still available for that tour. The meal is free and open to the public. Reservations must be made by March 19 by calling the Center at 419-358-8971.

oJuly 26, Plain City, Der Dutchman provides a great meal with "Ron Retzer and the Chrisagis Brothers" presenting a Celebration of America's Love of Inspirational and Country Music
oAug. 28, Shipshewana, Ind., Blue Gate Restaurant Amish Family Style Lunch, shopping and on to the Blue Gate Theater to see the Wanda Brunstetter production of "Half-Stitched."
