Andre' Swartley, Bluffton author, releases third book
Bluffton author and book publisher, Andre Swartley, recently released his third book titled Leon Martin and the Fantasy Girl.” Swartley's company is Work Play Publishing.
Plot summary
Leon Martin is a video game addict. The chronically well-behaved and lonely son of a Mennonite pastor in small-town Iowa, Leon has spent high school buried in a grandly melodramatic Japanese role playing game called Endless Saga, with the main results being that his only friends are pixels on a TV screen, and he has premature arthritis in his hands from clutching a game controller for four straight years.
Now, with graduation only weeks behind him, Leon has enrolled in a summer-long service program overseas in Germany, where he hopes to leave behind his addiction and reboot his life.
However, there are two big problems with his plan. Problem number one is his traveling companion, the brilliant, beautiful, and volatile Autumn Springer.
She, like Leon, was a misfit at their shared high school, but for a different reason than video game addiction: she made a small fortune selling nude photos of herself on the internet.
Yet even these rather sweeping personal issues are nothing compared to the second problem. Leon and Autumn are about to meet the main character from Leon’s favorite game in the flesh, and she is in trouble.
