Trella Niswander was a Bluffton College graduate

Trella E. Niswander, 91, of Findlay, died October 20 at Bridge Hospice in Findlay.

Trella was the daughter or Edith G. (Irwin) and John E. Bosserman of Jenera, born on September 18th, 1923, and was a graduate of Rawson High School and Bluffton College, with a degree in Home Economics. Her favorite activity at Bluffton was singing in the College Choir.  She taught over ten years in several schools in the east and was a talented cook, seamstress and homemaker, devoted to her husband and children. Trella lived in several states, accompanying her husband E. Mark Niswander, also of Bluffton, during his service during WW2 as a decorated Naval Aviator, and throughout his career as a Special Agent in the FBI.  The couple enjoyed retirement in Asheville, NC and then returned to Ohio in 1999, where she continued to enjoy competing in ACBL duplicate bridge after attaining the rank of Life Master in the 1970s and later, Silver Life Master. 
Trella's remarkable kindness and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Trella was predeceased by Mark, her husband of 58 years,  and son, Gary, and is survived by her brother Bayard Bosserman of Iowa City, Iowa, and daughter Kathy Grady and her husband Jimmy of Findlay.

A calling hour will be held at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton on Friday, October 24th at 10 a.m. followed by a brief service  at 11 a.m., and burial  at the Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery, Bluffton.
