Betty Hauenstein 1927-2015
Betty J. Hauenstein, 87, of Bluffton died at 11:10 p.m. Feb. 26, 2015, at Willow Ridge, Bluffton. She was born June 13, 1927 in Columbus Grove to the late Wilbur and Edna Glancy Risser. On Aug. 14, 1947 she married Ellis B. Hauenstein who preceded her in death on March 15, 2011.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Stratton Greenhouse.
She is survived by a son, Robert (Nancy) Hauenstein of Mountain Home, Id., three daughters, Carolyn Sue (Daryl) Shields of Bluffton, Mary Lou (Fred) Carroccio of Findlay, Jean Ann (Michael) Rule of Bluffton, four grandsons, Jason Pahl of Findlay, Scott (Amber) Shough of Bluffton, Aaron Rule of Bluffton, Michael Hauenstein, eight great grandchildren and a sister, Doris (James) Wright of Cincinnati.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Risser of Bluffton, a sister, Lois Bailey of Columbus Grove, as well as a great granddaughter, Marissa L. Shough of Bluffton.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Chaplain William Herr will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. There will be a luncheon at The Centre, Bluffton following the burial.
