Plenty of opportunities for youngsters this winter at BFR
Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton, offers several programs for youth this winter. Here’s the class offerings:
• Rookie Sports – now to Feb. 16 from 4:15 to 5 p.m.
For youth ages 4 to 6. Youth will experience the basics of many sports.
• Tiny Tots - Fridays now through Feb. 19, from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
For youth 18 months to 5. Youth will have fun working on balance, coordination, and social skills. New and fun activities introduced each week.
• Open Play: Wednesday and Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon.
• Swim lessons – now through Feb. 18 – all swim classes held at Comfort Inn, Bluffton
Splash time – 7:30-8 p.m., ages 6 months to 3. A parent and child class where basics of swimming and comfort in the water are stressed.
Little swimmers – 6:45-7:30 p.m., ages 3-6. A parent and child class where youngsters learn more about stroke technique.
Aqua kids – 5-6 pm., ages 4-6. Youngsters must be comfortable in the water and be able to float on their own. They should have previously taken a parent-child class.
• Swim I or II – 6-6:45 p.m. Program for youth who are school age and are based off American Red Cross Standards for Level I to IV.
